I specialize in Latinx and Latin American fashion, visual culture, museums, and archives. My research examines how dress and material culture shape histories of race, ethnicity, coloniality, and creative labor across the Americas.
Through archival research, public scholarship, and collaborative projects, I aim to challenge dominant arts and design narratives by attending to the histories, styles, and collective fashionable—and anti-fashion—practices of Latinx and Latin American communities.
My work seeks to disrupt entrenched structures of power and reimagine sartorial futures yet to unfold.
